Your reply is just what I wanted, a discussion of this family. My memory could be faulty, but I seem to remember that it was Arvil who sent me the research of a gentleman who lives in LA and was a descendant of this Gabriel. He believed that Gabriel was a descendant of Hector. I don't know where I have data. It was a few years ago, and I could be wrong. Julia

Maybe one of you can help out with this one. Please also let me know, so I won't continue looking for him. 3. Hello Hancocks, if there is anyone working on or has info on James M. Hancock b.1816 in Va. and son of John Hancock. I know he was married to Catherine Frazier in 1845 and moved to Union Co. Ky. He then married Harriet "Jeffries" Scott Nov.17 1856. I was looking for info about Harriet Jeffries. Her marriage listing has her father as either William P. or William D. Jeffries. If anyone has a death record or any other info on her I would appreciate hearing about it. I believe that she was my GGGgrandfather's sister. My GGGGrandfather was William L. Jeffreys or Jeffries ( spelled both ways ). In 1850 he was in Todd Co. Ky with his wife Sarah Caroline Hancock and living with them was Harriet (24). They moved to Union Co.about 1851. There is a Harriet Jeffries marring Peter G. Scott Oct. 22, 1853. If there is any records of her children marrying maybe it says where in NC she was born. Thanks for any help--- Alan Jeffrey KJEFFREY@peoplepc.com
