    1. Re: [HANCOCK-L] Jeremiah Brady Hancock
    2. Hi Kathy, Do not have my Hancock file before me at this moment. I descend from Unity Hancock, b. 1781, prob. Albemarle Parish, Sussex Co., VA ("LDS" recd's. has her birth in Hancock Co., GA...orig. Greene Co., GA); d. 1850, Fayette Co., GA. It is my belief that she was the d/o Clement Hancock, Jr. and Mary Renfore, Wilkinson Co., GA and Joel Hancock (md., 1st., Brady and 2nd. Reeves. By any chance was your Jeremiah Brady Hancock the s/o Joel Hancock and his 1st., wife? Carol [email protected]

    3. There's a Handcock on the list circa 1624.....just FYI, ~malinda Recently found this online list of High Sheriffs of the County and City of Londonderry from 1600-1750. Thought someone might find it interesting. Derry Sheriffs 1600-1750 Barbara Rumsey has written a book called "Colonial Boothbay, Mid-1600s to 1775". Section 2 of the book "covers the 1730 Scotch-Irish resettlement of Townsend, as Boothbay [Maine] was then called." Rumsey lists quite a few Scotch-Irish surnames which is always of particular interest. Rumsey is the Director of the Boothbay Historical Society and the book can be ordered direct through: Books, Tapes, Videos, CDs at the Historical Society. (No relationship, except a happy reader and descendant of several Scotch-Irish from that region). Carol Reed Kennedy

    3. Lisa, I don't know much about how a virus works but the server I use checks for virus and lets me know if I am receiving something that has a virus. They say that they have it cleaned up but I never trust that so I just deleted the message. It was from Lisa Craven (hope that is you) and was to the list and was about John Hancock. I didn't think much about it until I read the other messages and they thought is was me. So probably was just something that got our names from an address book. No harm done here. 2. Bill, I'm sorry that I did not put in dates, I will correct that. My Henry Grady Hancock was born Nov. 1906 in Crawford County, GA. His father was William Robert Hancock b. 1879 in Crawford County, GA d. 1936 in FL married 1898 to Missy Irene Ellington. William Robert Hancocks parents were: William Green Hancock b. 1844 Crawford County, GA d. 1908 in Wilcox County, GA. married 1869 to Rebecca Temperance Watson. William Green Hancock's parents were: Jeremiah Brady Hancock b. 1810 Wilkinson Co, Georgia d. 1861 probably in Crawford County, GA. married 1835 Nancy S. Hatcher . Jeremiah Brady Hancock's parents were: William Hancock b. 1777 in NC d. 1850 in Crawford County, GA married 1805 to Nancy Hatcher. I am wanting to prove or disprove whether or not Clement Hancock and Mary Renfroe are the parents of William Hancock. Sorry about that. kathy kendrick

    3. We all know viruses do not use the senders real e-mail, but someone in there list. Is why I did not send out my virus find, but waited to see if more from 'this' list got it also. I am glad so many of us, are aware, and careful, about what we read. Even on this list, I trust more than I should, I am searching so much for this family, I read each post. Am very glad to see I was not the only one to get this attachment Tioraidh an drasda, Tori - [email protected] Searching- COUNTS(Crouch, Sartain,Williams,Raper, Martin), HANCOCK(Adams, Abbott, Shepperd, Leach,Imel,Speck, Sprunger), MCNIEL(Gaddy,Brown,Lindsey,Mason,Moon)CAREY(Hancock, Catterton,Gibson,Dodder(Dobson),Leach), and any family connections. >From: "just-bob" <[email protected]> >Reply-To: [email protected] >To: [email protected] >Subject: Re: [HANCOCK-L] VIRUS >Date: Mon, 9 Jun 2003 21:28:13 -0700 > >Tori, I also got it, was very suspicious of the attachment so I had my >Norton look it over. >When I found it to be infected, I sent a reply to check her computer. 3. Tori, I also got it, was very suspicious of the attachment so I had my Norton look it over. When I found it to be infected, I sent a reply to check her computer. Guess what? It came back as a bad address and undeliverable. Would these refer to the HANCOCK WorldWide Project Charts > that you and others created a while back? > Yes, Audrey, when I say Charts I mean those to which we have been referring for these many years, and when I say Results page I mean the results of the DNA testing. I will get around to linking our Hancock Project Worldwide to the DNA testing but haven't had the time. Julia
