    3. Julia, I must not be doing something right. I refreshed several times, but I can't click on anything that gives me the ancestors. In the old days we used to click on the kit number, but that didn't work for me this time, so I clicked on everything I could find.  Please remind me which group number contains Henry Grady Hancock and Richard Clem Hancock. His father John Hancock and his two brothers Oliver & James Hancock lived in Talbot County, GA. The older John Hancock's sister-in-law, Martha Oliver Hancock also lived in Talbot County, GA. The older John Hancock's nephew, Bennett Hancock also lived in Talbot County, GA. My John Hancock married Margaret Louisa Marshall in Talbot County, GA in 1841. Margaret Louisa Marshall was the daughter of David Marshall and Frances A. Stewart of Jones County, GA and Talbot County, GA. That was my brick wall for over 30 years. There are a lot of Marshalls in Warren County and Halifax County, NC. I already have that research. One of the Halifax County, NC Marshalls lived about 10 miles from my John Hancock in Talbot County, GA. I have tried very hard to make a connection to him because of something my mother said. I have been reading with great interest about William Brown and Lucy Simmons of Jones County, GA. I have tried to make a connection there, but I don't think there is a connection. Here is what I know on the Browns of Jones County, GA and the Simmons of Hancock County, GA, Jones County, GA and possibly Crawford County, GA. My Brown was Bazel Brown. His parents were William Brown & Elizabeth Hammack of Hancock County, GA. There are many references that say it was Elizabeth Simmons. Her sister Catherine, married William Simmons. They lived in Jones County, GA. After Elizabeth's husband, William Brown was killed during the 1812 war in TN, she came back from TN and lived next door to William Simmons and her sister Catherine, Hammack Simmons. I get bogged down with questions and information and just back out of "it" for a while - ha - a while has been years. I am in Jasper, TX and claim kin to most all of the Hancocks here - I don't know how I can help, or if I can help, or even if you can depend on my help - but for the time I am here for the roll call. Again, thanks to all of you who have been so determined in your searches and for being so willing to share. People used to think that John L. was connected to my William (b. 1801 SC), so I researched him thoroughly 6 or 7 years ago and determined he was in the Benjamin line. 2. Hi Sue, The Hancock DNA Project link is: _http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Hancock/_ (http://www.familytreedna.com/public/Hancock/) Click on the Tool bar under "Y-DNA Results" on either Classic or Colorized. I had problems with the small-stuff pages and couldn't get the company to respond to my emails. Audrey is doing Group 3 "Capt. John" on her private pages. Everyone needs to log in an add their "Most Distant Ancestor" if there is not one showing for their test. I, as administrator of the Hancock DNA Project, can no longer access that part of each test. Thanks to the company. Julia In a message dated 2/1/2013 1:53:01 P.M. Central Standard Time, jonessh@swbell.net writes: Audrey, I know that John L.
