    1. [HAMRICK-L] Hans George Controversy
    2. J R McKinney
    3. Tressie, Several years ago I was "Turned on" by the Story of Hans Georg and tried to find evidence of his descendants. Of his male sons who came over with him on the Snow Lawther most were recorded by the LDS when their children were baptized in the German Churches in the Germantown, PA area. The Baptisms are posted in the IGI of the LDS. There were none ever baptized by he and his proposed second wife Nancy Cook. Charles "Chaws" Hamrick reported he had followed his children down three generations and no male child had ever moved to Virginia or beyond. You are aware that one daughter married a German named "Doll" in Maryland but as far as I have ever found, no other of the family left PA. Since Hans Georg was buried in Germantown, PA you might expect the records of the children of his second marriage would be locally available. I have not found any in PA, in VA, or in NC. If so, will you post any documentation that will place any of his male descendants in Rutherford-Cleveland Co NC. Thanks in advance. Tressie
