I would like to point out, as regards West Virginia Hamricks, the Don Norman file has almost as many errors as facts. I wrote to Norman about it. He wrote back that he doesn't regard himself as a genealogist; he simply compiles names from records. He said he wouldn't verify the accuracy of anything in his work. That is fair enough. But others sometimes pick it up uncritically without knowledge of what they have.
