He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late James and Corrie Ida Pruett Hamrick, father of the late Max Edward Hamrick, brother of the late Lois Bowles, Ethel Wright, J.D. and Hubert Hamrick, grandfather of the late Christopher Hamrick, retired gas tanker driver from Royster Oil Co., self-employed farmer, member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Adult Men's Sunday School Class.
