Hello, I saw your letter to Mary. I am researching HAMBICK. Your letter spurred something. Our line stops with Frank (Thomas Francis) HAMBICK who was born abt. 1875 and married Emma Nelson in 1878--THEIR marriage certificate shows Frank was born in Illinois. From what we've been able to gather he had a sister "Mary" (married a Crowell) (could have been Margaret) and two brothers Oscar and Joe. My great Aunt remembers visiting Mary and says her husband's name was Ben Crowell she thought they lived in Illinois but she was a child at the time. They thought their uncle "JOE" moved to New Orleans and she remembered getting packages and thinking he worked for the postal service. Oscar was either a detective or a murderer. I have been unable to locate any parents for Frank HAMBICK it is said his father died in the "war"... All his children and their children spell the name "HAMBICK" and besides them I haven't been able to locate any other person on this planet with the sur name HAMBICK. I have a picture (the only known photograph of Frank) on my website in hopes someone would recognize him or feel their family looked like him. They remember he would "go off" for long periods of time--maybe he had another family? If you'd like to see the picture the web address is: http://home.mci2000.com/[email protected]/ There is also a missing Clyde HAMBICK born 1922. Also Franks siblings: Joe, Mary and Oscar HAMBICK (born approx.. 1870s) who we have been unable to locate any trace.
