I to, am from the Hamrick, McSwain, and Smith line. My great-grandmother was Linnie Smith(b.Sept 1859). Her parents were Melvin and Ester Smith. Melvin was born JAN 1826 in NYC(Shanangle county). Melvins father was Samuel Smith and Melvins mother was Lucy Beecher. Lucy Beechers mother was Sara Plumb (the Plumbs were coach makers in Mass) Do these names ring a bell with any of you Smith line?
