    1. Re: [HAMRICK-L] More California HAMRICKS
    2. Dear Jeanne, Martha (Patsy) MOZLEY was the daughter of Mary McDANIELS and Edward MOZLEY. She was the youngest of 10 children with siblings: James, Sarah, Edward, David, Catherine, John, Mary and Archibald. I descend from James. What is your source for dates of birth/death for John (1774-1836)? Benjamin married Margaret (Peggy) REDDICK on 4 Nov 1827 in Upson County, GA (source: Upson County marriage register). Catherine married James CROWDER on 1 Sep 1823 in Jones County, GA (source: Jones County marriage records). Catherine had died before her father, John, in 1836; she had a granddaughter who married Anthony TURNIPSEED, but I haven't been able to find any additional information or documentation to support this. Simmedy married Lebron PITTS and had a daughter, Jane; but again, I have no documentation to support this. Do you? John Marshall married Edith HAMIL on 15 Dec 1835 in Pike County, GA (source: Pike County marriage records). Jeremiah J. Hamrick was born about 1818 and died before 1860 (or moved; I never found him on the 1860 census anywhere). He married Hannah Jane CHILDS on 6 Jan 1840 in Thomaston, Upson County, GA (Upson County marriage register). This History of the Hamrick Generation by Jones states that he was a son of the first marriage of John Hambrick and "a Mozley" (p. 203) and he married Lou Childs. James P. was born about 1812 (source: 1850 Houston County, GA census). He married Malinda HORSLEY 16 Nov 1836 in Upson County, GA (source: Upson County marriage register). They had six children (as listed on the 1850 census: James M., Georgia Ann, Columbus C., John F., Washington L., and Fannie L. They were born (in order) circa 1838, 1840, 1842, 1844, 1847, and 1850 (Fannie was an infant at the time of the census). James M. married Syntha FORDHAM (not documented). Georgia Ann married James POLLARD (not documented). Columbus married Martha CREECH (not documented). John F. married Martha's sister, Nancy CREECH (not documented). Washington married Lizzie HOFLIN or HEFLIN (not documented). And Fannie never married. Elizabeth Emaline was born 1 Mar 1818 (not documented - handed down through the generations) and married Augustus OLIVER on 24 Dec 1840 in Upson County, GA (Upson County marriage register is the source). Did they moved to Giles County, TN? Margaret Ann (Peggy) married Thomas LESTER or LASETER (I've seen it spelled both ways) on 30 Jan 1830 in Upson County, GA (source: Upson County marriage register). Finally, William P. Hamrick married Nancy COOK on 24 Jul 1840 in Upson County, GA. Their children: Eliza, William, John, and Joe Benny. Hope that helps some. Any sources for dates would be greatly appreciated. Pat [email protected] At 10:35 PM 4/9/98 EDT, you wrote: >Finally I figured out how to send this information.
