J. R. and other, here's a copy of a note I sent a while back on my recent Hamrick line. Joseph W. Hamrick had three wives. I knew of two from my aunt who helped me 37 years ago when I was starting in genealogy. I wrote down her information on a femily tree poster and then, recently when I got serious about all this, I couldn't confirm the first wife and concluded that I had made a mistake those many years ago. But, I got independent confirmation recently: His first wife was Mary Lanicks. I know nothing more about her. His second wife was Frances Cogar. Joseph and Frances had eight children. Joseph's third wife was Margaret Burris (Burrows). They had ten children. He died about 1885 at age about 92. I will put together additional information on this line (Despite all those children I think I'm the only one researching this line!) and post it to the list. --Dick Ross
