Here, my stuff again Candy Hill Cemetery, near Myrtle, Ms, in Union Co(originally part of Tippah) has my GGgrandfather buried alone: James Mat HAMRIC, 1816-1903. Nearby lies my Ggrandmother, Nancy A. HAMRIC b. May 1, 1850 d. Apr 29 1918 with her husband, my Ggrandfather, Cary Willis HENRY, 1846-1942. Also nearby are the nephew of James Mat------ James Madison HAMRIC, 1861-1948 and his wife, Mildred Elvira MOORE, 1861-1942. Children of JMH/MEM were John 1885, Sara 1887, Matye 1888, Mamye 1890, Dewitt 1895, Ruth 1906. I have an article by Ruth which says her grandfather was John Head HAMRIC, 1831-1862, buried at Okolona, Ms, (Co C 20 Ark., Inf, USA--she writes, but he is listed with the same unit in the "Index to Arkansas Confederate Soldiers"--someday will have to check out that cemetary myself). Anyway, Ruth says her father lived in Ark until age 16 when he moved in with his uncle in Ms. Thanks to Tressie, census shows them in Ms as HAMBRICK and in Ark as HAMRICK: 1850 Tippah, Ms--John 51 VA, Rebecca 48 SC, John H 20 SC, Rebecca 19 SC Catharine 16 AL 1850 Tippah--James M 27 SC, Mary 26 SC, Mary L 8 AL, Sarah E 5 AL Nancy E 3 AL, Josaphine 1 MS 1860 Hempstead Co, Ark--John 61 VA, Catharine 24 AL 1860 Hempstead--John H 30 SC, Elizabeth 27 TN, Amanda 7 MS, William 4 AR, Mariah 1 AR 1830 Anderson Co, SC-- John HAMBRICK, age 30-40, with 3 males under 10, one female 30-40, and 2 females under 5 enough for now, can add deed info if interested Winston Bradley Birmingham, AL
