Patrick HAMRICK Sr. did NOT inherit land from Elizabeth DAY when she died. Patrick HAMRICK Sr went to court to claim inheritance from Roger DAY, Elizabeth's father. Patrick basically established that he was the only (or the closest) living relative to Roger DAY. If PAtrick had inherited the land from Elizabeth, then a court case would not have been needed. Perhaps a minor point, but we need to be careful not to get the "facts" as few as there are, mixed up. Not picking on you Jill, but want to make sure they group that claims that Patrick married Elizabeth DAY don't have an opening that doesn't exist. > +Margaret INGLES Born: 1696 in King Geo., VA d: 1734 in Prince William > Co. There were two Samuel HAMRICKs around the same age (within 5-10 years of each other).. We know that John, Robert and Joseph were NOT the fathers. That leaves two Samuels and three potential fathers. The older Samuel appears to be the son of James HAMRICK as he stayed with other children of James when they moved to North Carolina. The younger Samuel, yours, appears to be too young to fit into Patrick HAMRICK Jr's family, but it is not impossible. The best fit is Benjamin Sr.. plus they lived in the same county whereas Patrick HAMRICK Jr lived in Prince William County.. not proof, but the closest we have for now until something better is found. > Fact 3: in > Rappanhanock Co., VA, w/ 60-70 yr female Fact 4: 1810 Census Culpeper VA p > 96 Fact 5: 1820 Census Culpeper VA p 81 > 4 Nimrod Nathaniel HAMRICK Born: February 25, 1790 in VA d: > August 25, 1865 in Pioneer Cemetery, Ione,CA Fact 1: 1814-1817 Culpeper Co. > VA Tax List Fact 2: 1820 1820 Fayette Co.
