Steven, et al: ~ Got it, must of picked that one up from the group that claims Elizabeth was his wife, sorry about that. I have updated my records.....other comment follows..... : FACT 3: Not a fact... Patrick HAMRICK Sr. did NOT inherit land from : Elizabeth DAY when she died. Patrick HAMRICK Sr went to court to claim : inheritance from Roger DAY, Elizabeth's father. Patrick basically : established that he was the only (or the closest) living relative to : Roger DAY. If PAtrick had inherited the land from Elizabeth, then a : court case would not have been needed. Perhaps a minor point, but we : need to be careful not to get the "facts" as few as there are, mixed up. : Not picking on you Jill, but want to make sure they group that claims : that Patrick married Elizabeth DAY don't have an opening that doesn't : exist. : ~Since all we know is that Ben Sr. is the most likely candidate for father of my Samuel, are there suggestions of records I can search to tie this one down, while I am in SLC? The best fit is Benjamin Sr.. plus they lived in the same : county whereas Patrick HAMRICK Jr lived in Prince William County.. not : proof, but the closest we have for now until something better is found. : > Rappanhanock Co., VA, w/ 60-70 yr female Fact 4: 1810 Census Culpeper VA p : > 96 Fact 5: 1820 Census Culpeper VA p 81 : > 4 Nimrod Nathaniel HAMRICK Born: February 25, 1790 in VA d: : > August 25, 1865 in Pioneer Cemetery, Ione,CA Fact 1: 1814-1817 Culpeper Co. : > VA Tax List Fact 2: 1820 1820 Fayette Co.
