I have census on Joseph and Nancy, their cemetery info. I believe the Townsend name is based on a DAR application. There is a War of 1812 service record for a Burwell Hamrick, serving in MS Territory. There is an affidavit in the War of 1812 Pension application of John Hamrick of Lauderdale Co MS which says: he (John) often said he lost at brother at the Battle of New Orleans. Perhaps this was Burwell. See if LDS had tax records for DeKalb Co GA.
