Steven, What is your source for the birthdate of "my" Burrell H. Hambrick being born in 1810? I have seen in several places that his birthdate is referenced as 1790 or 1795. It would help clear some of my confusion up greatly if this birthdate has a primary source. Thanks. Also, if the Burwell mentioned in Tressie's data was born in 1788, he would have been 17 in the 1805 bid for guardianship by his brother. In those days and location, was "legal age" 18 or 21? If it was 18, it just seems needless for his brother to have become guardian of him and paid a $500 bond right before he reached his majority. Unless, of course, there was a lot more than $160 at stake which was the amount mentioned in the court records. Thanks again for everyone's help. The Hambrick end of my research is very new for our branch of the family. And GA isn't always the easiest location to research, but have run into lots of helpful people.
