Tressie, How do you know that Burwell, son of Thomas, died in the war of 1812? Is he listed someplace that way? I have been trying to piece all the information that people on the Hamrick list have so kindly passed my way. With rootsweb being down, my posts have gone unanswered to the list, so I thought I would try and post individually. My Berrell H. Hambrick seems to have sprung from no where other than "of Dekald co., GA". Some of the dates that have been passed along to me mesh so neatly with what I DO know that it is almost too tempting to assume that my Berrell and your Burwell are the same person. Back to my original question, is he listed as dead on any 1812 list. If he isn't, why the assumption that he was killed in action? Just wondering and trying to clear up my own questions before I go down any other road of possibility.
