Bambi et all, I hope your family fued was not over a pig like the families on the Tug River. I have a Giles Otey Hambrick b 23 Mar 1835 in Goggensville, Franklin, VA. I could never find the town before but on a large scale map I found it just over "Grassy Hill" West of Rocky Point, Franklin, VA. Goggnsville looks like it happens at a 'Y' in the road. I would assume that all the Hambricks born in Gogginville would be closely related. Giles Otey was on the 1840 census in Franklin County but after that he moved to IL and then to Dallas, TX where he died at age 99 on 2 Sep 1934.
