I would appreciate the help of list members in identifying the parents of John Hambrick of Jessamine County, Kentucky. I received by postal mail an inquiry from Josephine W. Graham of Rainbow, Texas, and will quote her questions. She lists her phone number as 254-897-4542, and I feel rather certain she would not mind a telephone call on this subject: "I recently received a newsletter about the Hamrick Family. I am very pleased there are so many people involved with their roots. "I have been searching off and on for about 20 years. My mother was a Hambrick. I hae been able to trace this family to JOHN HAMBRICK OF Jessamine County, KY, where he married Elizabeth "Betsy" Isabel in 1812. I cannot find any proof of either of their parents. "It has been suggested that Jesse Hambrick of Scott County, Kentucky, was John's father but the researcher's theory was only using the marriage date, March 3, 1790, of Jesse and Lydia and the fact that the census says John was born in 1790. . . "He also suggested that Elizabeth Isabel's father was Joel. He did not give me any clues as to why he chose that name or where he found Joel Isabel. ". . .I was wondring: Does your organization (Pioneer Family History Preservation Society Inc., a group rooted in Hamrick history) have anyone who could check your database to see if you have any information on "my" John Hambrick of Jessamine County, KY?"
