Well I can't do much research but somehow I just lucked into a : wonderful discovery! Making calls and : I found out that our Hamrick ancestors homestead in Amador County is now : the Aparicio Winery, and I just talked to the wife of one of their family : members! Their brothers house was built on the exact spot where our : ancestors original house was, I am going to talk to the husband on Sunday : and find out if we can go there and take pictures, i feel : great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! : 5 acres of the land (they have 160 acres which is the exact size of the : original homestead) : is planted in red grapes. : I always knew where Hamrick's Grade Road is, but I never knew the exact : place where the house was, now I do. : Anyway I wanted to share this bit of interesting info with you.
