Thanks for your contribution to my family history. I have in my database three Weeses. The database is mostly people with Webster and Randolph County origins. I have an Andy Weese listed as having married Mary Dodrill ‹ an act that I also have committed. This may be your James Andrew Weese. If you know, I'd like to have confirmation. In any event, this Mary was the daughter of George Martin Dodrill (b1833) and Isabel Lynch Hamrick (b1836). Mary was my second cousin twice removed. She was the daughter of William F. and Jeanette Gregory Hamrick. William in turn was the brother of my great-great grandfather, David. William and David, among others, were sons of Benjamin and Nancy McMillian Hamrick. The Hamrick family connection is from Page 77 of Mayme Hamrick's "The Hamrick and other families ‹ Indian Lore." The Dodrill side may have come from Charles McClure Dodrill's "Heritage of a Pioneer." Don't worry about this sentence if it is confusing. This is merely designed to bring Patsy Hamrick-Weikart, who admits Dodrill blood, out from under a bushel and let her irrepressible light shine again. She knows much more about the Dodrills than me. Most of what I know about them has turned out to be wrong. I have "Andy" and Cora with two children, Cora and Patrick. I have no other information on them. I would appreciate anything you have.
