Debbie, Have been thinking about you lately, wondering whether you've been able to find out anything else. Did the James and Elizabeth on the death certificate turn out to be true? After re-reading this reply from you, I have some questions. Please see my interspersed comments below. Elizabeth Hamblin approx. 1850-1875 Did they MARRY during this time period or is that when he was born? Had to have married well before 1875 to have had this many children before 1876. Also, don't see how he could have "died in the war" after 1876 since the Civil War had been over for quite some time by that date. It may be possible that he fought in the Spanish American War which did not begin until 1898. In my database of Arkansas folks I have a J.M. Hambrick born 1864 and a Frank A. Hambrick born 1869; may just be a coincidence as I don't seem to have the other names. I don't even have the names of who they married or where they died, only their names.
