    3. Good evening Listers, The post I made on William Hamrick was all of the information I have on him "on the Kanawha Frontier in 1792." Sorry, I don't know if he was in the Army of Andrew Lewis. According to what I have, he was in Captain Hugh Caperton's Company. According to Tressie McNealy's gracious reply: "Greenbrier Co VA Tax Lists, those available, 1782 through 1850, do not show a William Hamrick." "Kanawha Co VA Tax Lists, those available, 1796-1850, do show a William Hamrick in 1810." Note: I speculate this was William, son of Benjamin, born in 1789. "A William Hamrick shows up in Nicholas Co VA 1818, probably the son of Benjamin and Nancy (McMillion), but he may not have been of taxable age in 1792." Note: This was my ancestor, William Hamrick, son of Joel Hamrick. "There is a DAR application stating a William Hamrick had Rev. service, but the applicant gives him the children of Benjamin and Nancy (McMillion)." Note: Could this have been William Hemming Hamrick, son of Patrick? During years of research, I have been unable to find any other records in WV on this Hamrick. Therefore, I posted it hoping for help. I speculate this was William Hamrick, born around 1770, son of John Hamrick, an ancestor of Richard Hamrick, Jr. Comments and corrections are welcome, as always, by this amateur, but dedicated, researcher.
