Isn't there a slight inconsistency between the first and second generations? Maybe this has been discussed, and I missed it, but it says Mary Elizabeth was born in 1859.. then under second generation it says Ella was born in 1859 and Mary came after George was dead. Are Ella and Mary the same people, or is there something wrong here? Steven A. Bridges [email protected] Michael A Martinez wrote: > > I have tried before without success to make a link. Whoa! Something is wrong here... I find it hard to believe that Elizabeth was married when she was 7 years old? Either she was born in 1826 or the marriage was in 1853. Can you recheck your data? Benjamin who married Bernetta (Sykes) married her in Madison Co AL, 4-6-1824. Benjamin settled in Winston Co MS by 1850. Benjamin belongs either to William & Susan Hambrick of Lincoln Co TN (age 65 in 1850 birthplace Unknown) or to Robert and Hannah (Hubbard) Hambrick. William doesn't seem old enough to have a son born in 1800. Just my opinion! Tressie

One of which was Benjamin b 1800. (see following tentative line) They had other children whose names I do not have. It is possible since William had a brother Burwell that he could have had a son Berrell Hampton Hamrick b 1810 in AL. (I agree with Tressie that he was probably born in Al not GA) I have William died in 1812 so could have had a son in 1810. I had that John Hamrick b 1786 (brother of William) was married to Catherine "Katie" Hampton but Tressie says it was Myers. That suggests that there was a Hampton somewhere to become Berrell's middle name. Please add any corrections and additions. This is just a "Work in Progress" and do not copy it as proven genealogy. ps to Tressie et al, Who were Joseph b 1779? m Nancy's children? I have some more loose data I would like to connect. John born 24 Mar 1786 m Catherine Myers d Lauderdale Co MS; James m 1806 Clarke Co GA to Mary Bankston died in MS; William and Burwell. Joyce, I would like to make sure I understand this lineage and the probably times frames. Please let me know if this is right: Frances Lawrence married John Botts in 1817 in Mason Co, KY Therefore, Frances was born circa 1798-1801 Assuming Frances was the first born child, then her mother, Margaret HAMBRICK, must have been born circa 1778-1784. Assuming Margaret was first born, then her father, John HAMBRICK, must have been born circa 1753-1762. Does this make sense? If so, then it likes requires John's father to be one of Patrick HAMRICK Sr's sons.. we know that Robert, Joseph, and John did not have a son named John... that leaves.. Patrick Jr, James and Benjamin. Patrick Jr's son John has been identified... James has room for a son, John, but I have seen no record of him... Benjamin doesn't really have room in his line for a John, but he could probably be squeezed in, but again no sign of him. Can you tell me where the Margaret, daughter of John HAMBRICK, came from? If he is new, then we need to document him and try and fit him into the appropriate line. Curious. Steven A. It has been quite on the Hamrick list lately - so I will take this opportunity to ask about a "new" Hamrick instead of trying to find the parents of my Sabra Hambrick McClellan. Yesterday I received, from a cousin, a wonderful family group photo taken in about 1895 in Montgomery Co., MS. It contains about 30 relatives who were Aaron & Sabra McClellans' children, children's spouses, grandchildren and Sabra's sister , MARGARET HAMBRICK (now, no wise cracks about her nickname, which as "AUNT PUSS"). Sabra Ann was born 12/10/1840. I don't know when Margaret was born but she appears, in photo, to be a younger sister. Does anyone have a Margaret with a sister, they don't have identified? Also, do the two girls have a brother John that fought in the CW? Alice in CA
