I have posted my own search which you might have seen for family of my grandmother, Laura Augusta HAMPSON who I believe to have been born 1865 in Tarrytown, NY. After she died in 1906 her daughter lived in PA - a suburb of Philadelphia - which leads me to think there was some HAMPSON contact there in PA. So, if you find anything that seems to link with those two areas, I'd appreciate knowing.
