Hello, Any help with the following family and their children would be greatly appreciated: John W. HAMPSON born abt. 1800 came to Kennebunkport, Maine, USA, from England about 1820, he was a mariner. His banns were announced on 28 August 1829 in Kennebunkport, Maine but did not mary until 17 September 1831 to Olive CLOUGH born 30 August 1809 in Kittery, Maine, USA. She died 14 November 1875 in Biddeford, Maine. She is buried with her daughter in Maine. The census list John W. HAMPSON last in 1850 and his last child was born in 1843. After that he disappears. I cannot find a buriel or any information on where in England he came from or his parents. Their children: Isabella W. HAMPSON born abt 1831/1832 John A. HAMPSON born 1833, died 3 Nove. 1861 married 28 Sept. 1853 to Lyndia A. HUFF Olive A. HAMPSON born abt 1834 married 1 January 1854 to John Q. QIMBLEY (Quimbly) Thomas P.S.
