These names have been spelled in any number of ways through the years. Franz/Frans Abrahamsen was born in Austrheim/Etne area of Hordaland, Norway and he married Anne Larsdatter of the Åkra area of Rogaland, Norway about 1864 in her home parish. The family left Norway from the port of Stavanger in 1882 with at least two sons and one daughter (they had at least one child, perhaps more, that did not survive to emigrate).
