His name was John Hampson and he was born October of 1826 at Hooley Hill in Ashton Under Lyne. He married Hannah Bardsley in 1850 and they had a son Jonas born in 1851 at Hooley Hill. They came to America in 1852, settling in Missouri. Trying to find any family that may have came to America with him or if there were any brothers or sisters and what his parents names were. His parents may possibly be Ralph and Margaret (Tomlinson) Hampson, not positive about that. There were so many John Hampson's we are not positive on any family connections.
