I found a certified copy of an entry of marriage for John and Hannah. Marriage was at the parish church in the Parish of Whitfield in the county of Derby on July 22, 1850. John's profession was listed as Hatter, and was the age of 23. Hannah was listed as spinster and the age of 26. Mary Bardsley was a witness along with M. Hadfield?, I can't make out the signature. When Jonas was born in 1851 they lived at Little Lane, Hooley Hill. Where John was from. His parents Ralph and Margaret, I think, died by the time he was around 10.
