Hi Paul, I saw your post on the Hampson list today. I have a few Hampsons' in my line of research too. I have Roger Hampson born in 1851,son of Benjamin and Jane or Ann Hampson nee Orrell in Leigh,Atherton,Tydesley They also had,William,John,Tom,Jane and Ann. I have info for Roger,who immigrated to the USA in 1871. Ann married an unknown Blundell,she came to the USA in 1896 as a widow. Jane married Thomas Gregory,a coal dealer and founder of the Leigh Baptist Church,had 5 daughters and a son,and lived in the Leigh area. If any of this fits in with your research,please contact me.
