Having called the roll call I'll post my own Hampson line now :-) My maternal grandmother was born Esther Ann Hampson (1904-1967) of Radcliffe Lancashire, daughter of Herbert Hampson (1878-1954) grocer and his wife Grace nee Fletcher (1875-1942). Herbert was the son of James Hampson (born abt.1834) of Radcliffe Lancashire, and his wife Sarah Ann. Other children of James and Sarah were Martha, Charlotte, Billy, Jack. >From contact with a cousin descended from Jack I understand James' father was named Asgill Hampson but I have no further information on Asgill at this time.
