    3. Daughters of James Hampson, in and out of work houses around Bolton, Lancs in 1880's. Daughters of James Hampson and Ellen, nee Bullough. One day following the death of Ellen, 1885 , daughters were placed by the Bolton Vigilante Committee in Home, then sent to Canada as a British Home Child, Dr. Stephenson's agency. Mary Jane died of TB shortly after arrival, Helen survived but had problems with all that had happened to her.     3. Hi Joyce The only likely entries on the 1881 census are for Elizabeth Hampson, a widow and licensed victualler at 9 College Lane Liverpool. She lived with two daughters Mary jane b 1845 and Ann b 1840. This doesnt seem to gel with Dr Stephenson's agency. I will keep looking but there is no other likely census entries.
