Dear Ernie I am interested in all Hampsons whereever they are from, there are a number in Australia which is where I live. I am not Australian by birth, I was born within the sound of Bow bells. I do know of some Hampsons who came to Australia in the mid 19th century and one who was transported in the late 18th century. It is obvious that the original Hamspons came from north west England probably in the vicinity of Leigh. Any and all information will be gratefully received.
