Hi List, Would there be a kind soul who happens to have an index for the 1851 census for Basingstoke? If so, could you do a check for John Howlett Beatley and his wife Laura please? Laura (nee Whistler) was born in 1807 in Aldermaston, Berks. and married there in 1826. John was possibly born in Norwich. Reportedly John was a gunsmith and is now believed to be there since his marriage into the 1840s at least. Any census information is much appreciated.
