Is anyone able to suggest where else I might look to find out where the following family (records courtesy of Knightroots) came from or went to? Does anyone have access to the 1851/61 census for Portsea? St Marys Portsea Baptisms page 9 no 67 Robert son of James & Elizabeth SAUNDERS Hyde Park Portsmouth Carpenter Feb 14 1834 page 114 no 908 John Charritt son of James & Elizabeth SAUNDERS Portsea age 114 no 909 Robert son of James & Elizabeth SAUNDERS born Dec 17 1833 & baptized June 23 1837 page 114 no 910 Matilda daughter of James & Elizabeth SAUNDERS born April 17 1837 & baptized June 23 1837 There is no mention of Father James in what Apprenticeship records exist, and no existing Settlement papers. Neither have I found a record of their parents' marriage, and no burials. There is not a Will on the PRO site, and the 1881 or 1901 censuses have helped. I have managed to trace Robert's progress to Deptford (marriage to Jane Amelia SCOTT not proven) but now I am completely stuck on his parents and siblings. Any help gratefully received.
