    3. In 1881 James GOODYEAR was a stableman at the Racing Stables at Manor Farm, Heathman St, Nether Wallop. I have not associated Hampshire and Horse Racing. Does any one know of these stables or of horse racing in Hampshire during the Victorian period? David

There was a racing circuit at Southampton on the common, at Worthy Down, Stockbridge and many more David Studs can be found dotted around as well, there is one I belive near Hurstborne Tarrant.     3. There was definetly a stables there David as I also found this Chris LANE (Sep 04 Red) Any information please on Stafford Moore LANE. The son of Stafford Moore LANE Snr and Louisa nee FUTCHER, Stafford was born in the Devizes area of wilts in 1859. He had four older sisters, all born Swallowcliffe, Wilts.
