I am trying to find out if there was any way that my mother's great uncle could have any link with Edward VII. I know that he was a coachman and seemed to have lived in Winchester all of his life according to the census but I believe that Edward VII came to the races at Worthy Down and Stockbridge. I wondered whether anyone would know how I can find out who a coachman would have worked for as I don't think he could have had his own buisness. The reason I am trying to find out is that mum has a stick pin that is decorated with the Prince of Wales plumes, we have been told that it was from the Victorian times and apparently Edward VII was known to give these pins to people who worked or did things for him, so we are trying to find a link. As long as it wasn't stolen property !!!
