I've found a record in the IGI of my great,great grandfather George White,born 1844 in Fawley, Hampshire. When I looked at the GRO indexes for that year I can't find the record, therefore am unable to obtain the birth certificate. Can anyone please advise me what to do next, or where I could view the parish registers for Fawley, which comes under New Forest. I will be grateful for any advice. Thanks, Sheila
