    2. I had the most awful sweet tooth as a child... and I still have all my own teeth, one with gold at the back, as I lost most of that tooth cycling along a bumpy road on the way to Roman Landing. Now who knows where that is??? Clue Sussex! and 60 the other day so there Brian Cave!

    3. Many could have lost more than a tooth if that were the actual site of the Roman Invasion. Caesar's (55BC) landing was in Kent, and Historians argue if the real, the full invasion by Claudius (43AD) , was also in Kent or perhaps in Sussex. Although The Hants/Sussex site would have been a longer journey across the Channel, the Atrebates who lived in that region were friendly to the Romans, and the Romans quite rightly were somewhat in awe of the Brits, and they, an army of some 40,000, in fact initially refused to disembark. This is not an area in which I would claim any expertise, so I would be please to be corrected if I am in error If the Romans, like you and most of us, had a sweet tooth, perhaps there invaded to corner the world market of Mead.
