On Tuesday afternoon, a boatman named James NANCARROW 26 St James Street Portsea was afloat in his boat off Fareham Quay when he found a skull floating on the surface of the water at the stern of the Norwegian barge "HURSS". He handed it to Constable NASH who conveyed it to the public mortuary. The coroner has since decided not to hold an inquest. It is believed the skull may have come from Mile End Cemetery, the rear wall of which abuts the shore in the vicinity of Flathouse Quay. Linda & Tony
