I have just found a great site called Aftermath - I don't know if it is known to you, but it is largely dedicated to World War One, and a must for anyone who had ancestors who fought then, with stories and details of memorial amongst the many items here. There is an area where people can swop and ask for information about those who fought. http://www.aftermathww1.com/index.asp Do particularly check under the heading 'Musical' and especially on the drop down menu 'Green Fields of France'. Here are the words to a song about William McBride, killed in the war. Also at the bottom of the page, beside the red poppy is a chance to hear Eric Bogle sing 'Waltzing Matilda' about the war in Gallipoli and later the ANZAC Day parades.
