The notes from my 2000 trip to Romsey don't mention either of your names. For the record, the Romsey pubs book was "So Drunk He Must Have Been to Romsey - a History of Romsey's Pubs and Inns" published by the Lower Test Archaeological Study Group in 1974 reprinted 1984.
