Hello, During my years at Aldershot County High School for Girls, we were obliged to participate in the school sports programme. Although I was not known to be a great athlete, or even a poor athlete for that matter, I did show up and try to pitch in. Struggled through netball and tennis, but field hockey, now that is where I thought I could shine. During one hot game I saw the perfect opening to make a score, drew back my hockey stick and let fly with all my might, unfortunately, for some unexplained reason, that was the precise moment one of my classmates decided to lean forward, and my hockey stick connected with her two of her front teeth. The two teeth flew out of her mouth into the grass and that was the end of the game. As I said previously, I was a poor athlete. That was the last time I played hockey, in fact I avoid all sports as much as possible, nowadays knitting is my bag. Cheers, Pam [RENNEY] McKinley, red-faced and hiding out in Arizona.
