    3. Hi all I'm passing on a piece of info which might prove very helpful for those elusive ancestors on the 1901 census, Throughout September, ancestry.co.uk & ancestry.com are providing free access to the 1901, (almost). You can view the whole household & all the neighbours on the same page. You still have to pay to get the actual address, though. However, this is what has happened to me today..... I have been searching for 4 years for my great grandma's name on the 1901. ancestry.co.uk has just provided it, surname spelt incorrectly but everything else fine. Armed with the incorrect surname, I went to the 1901 Census Online site & found absolutely nothing. All was not lost as the webiste has now introduced a new search facility which currently has a free trial for a limited time. Eventually I found great granny - not only was her surname wrong, but her birthplace & the Civil Parish were not spe!t correctly! Never mind, the most important thing is that I now have her details for March 1901 so keep trying, everyone, no matter how odd your searches may seem. Maureen, NZ
