    1. Re: [HAMPSHIRE-LIFE] South Stoneham
    2. Hello, I have located an ancestor on the census records. Her place of birth is listed as South Stoneham. Does anyone have any information regarding this village? The family is NEWLYN. It appears that the mother and father were both living in South Stoneham, they were married in 1841 after the census was taken. The 1841 census has them both living in the same house as servants. Emily NEWLYN was born in 1842 in South Stoneham. It appears her mother (Ann Hazard?) passed away in 1849. I can find nothing of the father (I believe John) after this time. Emily is listed as a visitor in a Workhouse at the age of 10 and a servant at the age of 20. She married in 1868. Anyone with any information would be appreciated. Also, does anyone have the ability to do a look-up of the parish records of South Stoneham? Thanks for your help, Nancy
