    3. Few Coroners' records survive. The Gibson Guide on the subject indicates that there are none for this period. The inquest may have been reported in newspapers. At this period, the most likely would be Hampshire Chronicle, Salisbury & Winchester Journal, Hampshire Advertiser, Hampshire Independent [Southampton], Portsmouth/Hampshire Telegraph. It must have gone to the County Coroners Court, because the Coroner for Hampshire was the informant. Does anyone on the list know where I could find the records of the County Coroner.
