    3. Hi Listers, I am currently checking the Film for Hurstbourne Tarrant, in a hope of finding my ggg grandmother who was supposedly from there according to the marriagge entry we found for her in the St Mary Bourne Parish film. While searching the pages we came across the Parish Summary of Account dated June 18. 1773, and I am hoping that someone may be able to explain what the rents are in reference to. Entry for Edward Poore Esq Total of Poore estate in Upton 488 a in Hurstbourne and 250 a in Vernham, and rent 150 pounds and 75 pounds respectively. To whom was the rent payable, and was this for leasing the land? William Poore 78 a in Vernham rent 29 pounds. I know that several members of Poore's were land owners as stated in the return for owners of land, but those list different acreages to the above. If anyone has any inclination of what the above might mean, would be most grateful. many thanks Sheila South Australia --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. 3. Think you will find you are correct in this is rent for the land itself. Not sure about the landowners themselves though Chris and Caroline ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mike & Sheila" <micshe@iprimus.com.au> To: <HAMPSHIRE-LIFE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 22, 2003 11:42 AM Subject: [HantsLife] Parish Accounts Hi Listers, I am currently checking the Film for Hurstbourne Tarrant, in a hope of finding my ggg grandmother who was supposedly from there according to the marriagge entry we found for her in the St Mary Bourne Parish film.
