Hi Listers Mike and I have just booked our flight to England departing Australia on the 15th July, and planned to visit Visit Hampshire to do some family research. I have just found out that this coincides with the school holidays. The villages we plan to visit are Vernham Dean, St Mary Bourne, and Andover, does anyone know if these areas have bed and breakfasts, or where I may be able to find details of such. As we will be there during the school holiday period, I would need to book something before we depart rather than wait until we get there. Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Hi Sheila & Mike try searching on http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/shs.html, it is an excellent accommodation web site & shows location maps, which are scaleable It lists accommodation in Andover, which is a large town, but nothing specifically in Vernham Dean, which is about 12 km north of Andover, or St Mary Bourne, (about 10km north west). It would probably be a good idea to base yourself in or around Andover and travel out.
