Hi all, again Does anyone know, please, if there is a possibility that Nursling and Rownhams (Southampton) were ever considered to be one & the same or have they always been separate entities ? I have a Mary WEEKS listed as a Nursling shopkeeper in Kelly's 1895 Directory. Then at some time in the early 1900s, my grandpa's aunt & uncle, Stephen House (previously a gamekeeper on the Montagu estate), & his wife Elizabeth (nee WEEKS), took over the general store-cum-post office at Rownhams. I'm wondering whether or not this was the same shop, thus keeping the business 'all in the family' or whether they were in different locations. Any thoughts, suggestions, info gladly received.
