Thankyou also to Chris for 'our' websites latest pix. Wonderful. I hated Winchester (apart from King Alfred's statue & the rushing water at the city mill) as a child but came to love it & value it immensely on my trips back to the UK in 1988 & 1992. Now I have wonderful memories of it & am proud that both my grandmothers were associated with it.
