I am reposting my query about this GIBSON family whom I suspect may be related to my GIBSON family from Bighton, HAM, ENG> http://www.angelfire.com/journal2/shampayne2001/JimsFamily/index.htm I can find this family (Charles GIBSON) in Old Alresford in both the 1881 and the 1891 census. Both Charles Snr & Jnr were gardeners and in 1891 they lived at the Gardeners Cottage, Armsworth H(ouse??) Charles GIBSON b c1850 Hampshire - Bighton Emma GIBSON b c1847 Hampshire - Old Alresford (Originally Hampshire - Medstead) Charles GIBSON b c1872 Hampshire - Medsted Annie GIBSON b c1874 Hampshire - Old Alresford Ernest GIBSON b c1877 Hampshire - Old Alresford Rose/Rosa GIBSON b c1879 Hampshire - Old Alresford I can trace Charles Snr; Emma; Charles Jnr and Ernest in the 1901 census though Old Alresford was in the Southampton area that time.
